Until the grunge era, my music was always whatever my parents listened to. It was in 1992 when I heard Pearl Jam's Ten and Nirvana's Nevermind and suddenly I had a voice for my generation. My friends and I blasted these albums all summer long. I've seen Pearl Jam 5 times in concert and loved every minute of every show. Never saw Nirvana, they dropped off the Lollapallooza tour before they got to Nashville but I saw Alice in Chains twice, Rage Against the Machine twice and countless others from the 90's era. It was fun to have music that felt like it was for your generation, not someone else's years after the fact.
