That Berlin Song

LOCATION: Night time in Berlin , Berlin

YEAR: 2006

TAGS: berlin, going out, bars

PUBLISHED: March 10, 2008

I
first heard this song while getting ready to go out to
the bars and clubs in Berlin.
I watched a lot of music videos while I was in Europe, since I couldn’t

understand the rest of the channels and the only thing
in English was CNN. It was my first night in Berlin and
I was ready to hit the town.

        I was still figuring out
what to wear when the song

came on. I was instantly in love. After that I constantly
saw the video on MTV for the rest of the trip.
It’s such a good going out song. For me the song

was about going out, hooking up and having a good

time.

I had such a good time in Berlin.
I’d go out around midnight stay out til the sun came
up. Berlin
was just about having fun and so is “Maneater.” “Everybody
look at me me me.” I love that line. I can picture someone just walking into a
bar and doing that just to get a few phone numbers. Of course in reality in
doesn’t work that way but in the end “Maneater” is just a fun song. It’s a real
go out and be a little slutty and of course make out with
strangers that don’t speak English kind of song. And at the end of my trip that was what Berlin was all about.
