I've been a fan for quite some time. Love the fact that they are (for the most part) a bunch of classically trained musicians (as am I) that formed such an ecclectic and fun ensemble. If you haven't heard their music...run to your digital outlet of choice (there's a link to two of them to the left of this post) and get their music....each piece will transport you to a different corner of the globe...from Rio to Cairo and nearly everywhere in between. This song, "Hey Eugene" has its roots a little closer to home (at least my home) and is inspired by the group's singer, China Forbe's evening out at a party in New York City. It's a tale we can all relate to and a tune we can all groove to. It's just one of many gems from this wonderful Portland-based band of globe-trotting artists Salud, Pink Martini.
