Turkleton's post "40s Fridays" at http://www.jamsbio.com/use r/turkleton/40_fridays/, was pretty funny and it reminded me of my own memory where music and some cool tasty 40s come together in bliss.

I've stayed good buds with two groovy guys/roommates from my college days at the University of Florida. Curtiss lives in Manhattan at 10th and 57th with his fair and lovely wife. Brad lives in the Florida Keys as a pirate, poet and lounge singer extraordinaire. Every summer since 2000, we convene for a guys weekend in NYC.

It's great fun, with a good mix of tradition and serendipity. One tradition is drinking a few frosty 40s beforing hitting the streets. And music is always blasting while we're working on our 40s. Inevitably, Tenacious D gets queued on the iPod and we sing along in between cracking up.

Wonderboy will always take me back to these good and still happening times.

Curtiss and Brad, it's on. See you in NYC. Frost up the 40s.
