My New Year's TraditionLOCATION: Home , MarylandYEAR: 2007TAGS: New Year's, U2, traditionPUBLISHED: October 10, 2008I don't know if every U2 fan does this, but while watching the ball drop, every new year's, I blast this song. It's quite hard to do because I personally never know where I'm going to be during that very moment, but I always plan. Last year I was at home with my family, so I blasted my computer to play it, but in some years, as far back as I can remember, I have had to be more creative. One year, I spent New Year's watching fireworks, so I brought along my CD player... Another year, I was also outside, blasted it from the radio in my car. The invention of the Ipod has made this much easier, so now I'm going to try getting different versions to play other than the album version. This is my one U2 tradition, I'd say even a ritual... I cannot start a year without hearing that song. Nothing changes, on new year's day!
