Playful Professional | MEMORY FROM 2004 Singing Bring Me to LifeLOCATION: My Mind , Provo, UTYEAR: 2004TAGS: Singing, Dreams, Freshman YearPUBLISHED: April 7, 2008I woke up morning with my dream still lingering in my mind incredibly vividly. I'll never forget that dream. I was at some sort of talent show, and the crowd was full. Think Carnegie Hall sized concert hall. I was on next, and I was going to be singing "Bring Me To Life" by Evanescence. I love the powerful potential of the song and was really excited to sing. I was singing it with two other people as my backup singers, but I don't remember exactly who. The music started and all the sudden my mind went blank. The music continued, and I missed my cue. I could hear my words in my head but for some reason I couldn't sing them out loud. My backup singers came in right on cue, and I just stood there trying my hardest to get the words to come out. The music ended, and my career as a dream singer ended with it. I never did get a note out during the entire song, but they still played the entire thing. Everytime I hear the song now, I think through the words and belt it out just to make up for my wordless dream.
