Jammin As We Drive

LOCATION: I-15 , California

YEAR: 2004

TAGS: Roadtrip, California, Friends

PUBLISHED: March 4, 2008

We're friends but not really. Wednesday night a group of us decided to go on a road trip to California. One car left Thursday morning, and mine headed out Thursday night. Four guys and me, the perfect roadtrip. It's my car so I'm driving, but Mark has control over the music. Mark with his wild blond hair, hazy blue eyes, and laid-back way of life. He pops in a CD and Jammin' blasts through the speakers. Well I guess it doesn't really blast, it floats through the speakers. Bob Marley is not made to blast. It's the middle of the night as we cross the California border. Mark rolls down the window and sticks his head out to look at the stars. I can't look as I'm driving so we stop in the middle of nowhere and get out of the car. We listen to the music and look at the perfectly black sky dotted with sparkling stars as a calm Jammin' plays on repeat in the background. We finally get back and make the rest of the trip, but I will forever remember Jammin' with Mark amidst a bright night sky.
