I was 13, and in my innocent world nothing was better than a good love story. I do remember being somewhat scandalized by the sex scene between Jack and Rose. It was the first time I ever saw sex in a movie and it made me very uncomfortable in the theater. However, I saw it 3 more times. One of my times seeing it was soon after My Heart Will Go On was unleashed to wreak merciless havoc on the sanity of the generalpublic. I sat in the theater and sang along. My second memory of this song is visiting my grandparents (my grandfather is no longer with us) in Tennessee. They lived near Nashville, home of music, and Nashville had a kareoke studio called Youre The Star Recording. I went in there and got a tape of me singing the song to prerecorded music. I told my family it would be my demo, and I'd soon be touring with Hanson. My third memory of this song is from the music department/colorguard spring trip my high school took to Canada in 2000, recounted elsewhere on JamsBio. We were in Niagara Fallson that Maid Of The Mist boat ride that goes under the falls. We were getting drenched in frigid, icy water, probably like what Jack and Rose felt, freezing our butts off, but we were so happy. Jessi screamed, "We're gonna get pneumonia!" and we cheered in response.The boat was rocking in an unsettling way, and we began screaming My Heart Will Go On, much to the annoyance of the boat driver and everyone on board.
