La Sexorcisto was one of the very first metal albums I ever bought. I loved the whole imagery of White Zombie at the time with all the devilish clowns and cheesy '60s horror themes. I was into a lot of alternative rock at the time, but I definitely leaned more towards the heavier stuff like Pantera, Black Sabbath and of course Zombie.

I remember when the Astro Creep album came out, I went and bought it that week. After listening to it, White Zombie definitely became my favorite band for several years. I loved everything about Astro Creep, from the music to it's large, fold-out booklet. There were so many pictures to look through and so much to read. It got me very interested in the whole nostalgia of old horror films and cheesy old school B movies, which Rob Zombie was obviously very influenced by. I probably had about two or three White Zombie T-shirts and always looked to see them on television. I still have both of their performances from the Late Show taped onto VHS. I remember thinking how crazy it was that White Zombie became so famous with the release of this album because no one really knew who they were before it. It kind of angered me in a way because I was a fan of them before, but I still loved the Astro Creep album no matter how many other people did as well.

After that, they put out the remix album which I still enjoyed to an extent. However, I really thought White Zombie started getting a bit too industrial for my liking towards the end of their career. I was more into the guitars and the heavy metal side of their music. As White Zombie broke up and Rob went onto his solo career, I really didn't get too interested in any of it. Still, I will always look back on White Zombie as being amazing and as one of those bands who really opened metal up during a time in the early '90s when metal definitely wasn't too popular.
