Ain't No Faith Like Blind.LOCATION: My Old House , Duke Center, PAYEAR: 1991TAGS: blind faith, lost love, warrantPUBLISHED: February 17, 2008I was never a big Warrant fan, I liked 'Down Boys' and 'Heaven' but not enough to actually buy any of their stuff. When 'Cherry Pie' came out, my husband at the time, bought the cassette. I liked it but never actually listened to the second side. I ended up meeting this guy (yes, unbeknownst to my husband at the time) and we were spending a lot of time together. And for some reason, I ended up listening to this song. It summed up our relationship quite well at the time, and even his little 12 year-old sister went and bought a cassette single of the song because it reminded her of us. We stayed together for awhile, and this became 'our song'. I still think of him when I hear it, even though it's not our song anymore. Actually, I thought of him every time I heard this song over the past 16 years that we were apart. We're back together, with several songs now that fit our relationship. We don't talk about 'Blind Faith' anymore, we don't even mention that it was our song. Weird, maybe. But it will always be 'our song'. At least it was our first and has special meaning to me because of that.
