When I Moved to Massachusette s

I'm originally from Miami but in the summer of 2001 my father made a very drastic decision. He sat me and my family down and broke the news to us and said that we were moving to Massachusettes. I wanted to die right there. When my dad told me that I wanted to die. Here I am a kid who has lived in Miami his whole life and out of nowhere gets the news that he's gonna be living with a whole bunch of white kids. Now i've got nothing against white people but when you move a kid whose been living in a city where white people are considered the minority it's gonna be different. Of course I asked my dad what was the reason for the move. He told me the cost of living in Miami was too high, which I agree with. Anyway, we moved there and of cousre everyone would give us a stink eye because i'm from a hispanic background, you could tell from my year round tan. I didn't really care because I didn't like them much either. But one day we were at a fye or something and I saw the Beastie Boys album "Licensed to Ill", this is one of my favorite albums but I only had it on cassette. So my dad, who turned me on to the beastie boys, bought me the album. I remember every time we would go to Boston we would always put on this album. We would listen to this album from start to finish. This was just one of those few albums that you can do that with, and I remember everytime the song paul revere would come on everybody in the car sang the lyrics. It seemed like everytime we would put this album on we would forget that we were even living in Massachusettes, now that I think about it it was actually kind of theraputic for us to listen to this album.
