Sick Days

I ran across this song, and the memories came flooding in! I miss that show so much, it was my absolute favorite daytime show!

When I was in 8th grade, I would watch this show whenever I stayed home from school sick or pretending to be sick. I was so in love with The Captain on the ship, and thought one day I was going to sail on the "Love Boat". Well it was either sail on that boat or vist "Fanatsy Island", remember that show?

I had a boyfriend named Joe in 8th grade, I think it was 8th. One day during a school break, we were at my house watching this show and he said to me, "I'm going to a Captain of a cruise ship one day".  I thought to myself, how cool is that? I mean my favorite show with a Captain I love, and now, I'm dating a soon -to- be Captain of a ship!

Well a few months later, we had a "School Fromal" and it was taking place on The Queen Mary (Ship!). I was starting to see my destiny unfold right before my eyes! Is it just me? Or is everyone else starting to see the relavance? Well Joe went and asked the DJ to play "Love Boat" for him and I to dance to, he did and everyone on that dance floor from our class, thought we were the biggest nerds!

This song became our song, along with Scorpions "No one Like You".  It was going to remain our song until it became our breakup song too! Yes this wonderful ship sank about 4 months later. I was home sick from school watching the "Love Boat" on TV, when Joe called and said Tina was a better kisser! What?

Joe graduated High School and went into the Coast Guards, I wonder if Tina went with him?
