Before ZZ TOP shifted their grinding gears in 1983 with the hell raisin' trio's eighth album, or was it seventh? Well I know it is called "Eliminator". I was hooked on this song! "gimme all your lovin" was the absolute best song ever! I would come home from school and turn the TV on tuned to MTV just to sit and wait for this song to come on. They changed up their sound recently though and even though I like the new feel, it just isn't the same as before. The new sound is sort of a hot rod-blues-boogie rock meets new wave punk in the City sort of sound! The album roared into the MTV age, then found the VH1 Classics slot and now right back onto the music store shelves. Driven by a trio of smash hit radio singles and bathing suit beauty video's that helped make Billy F Gibbons, Dusty Hill and Frank become international superstars almost overnight. When I first heard this song, I thought to myself these guys are gonna be HUGE! No other rockstars looked or sounded like them anywhere! This song became popular with me back in the era of MTV still being MTV, with REAL music videos, not like it is now just a reality show. I miss the good old days of MTV classic. Gimme all your lovin and don't give up until we're through! Whoohoo! Now that's what I'm talkin' about.
