Dancin' For Skip

Wow, what a terrific memory I have with this song! I used to be a bartender at a great place called "Ellie's Place" in Torrance, CA. I had a customer who was this big teddy bear of a biker that we will call "Skip".

Everytime I was working he would come in on a Sunday and put a few quarters in the juke box to play this song for me.  I had my own little "puppet" dance that I would do, cracked him up! It later became popular among the rest of the bar, so people would ask to see me do the dance.

I would act like a puppet while dancing to this song. Every note had it's own move and facial expression.  I sort of felt like "Gepetto" from Pinochio. It was absolutely hysterical though.  I also had another song that I danced to from AC/DC, later time I guess.

Oldies but sillies is what we should call a memory like this!
