My best friend and I packed up and moved away from home. We got hooked on watching the infamous America Idol. This song was sung over and over and over again by the contestants. Butchering poor Alicia Keys so bad. I remember not only thinking that this song was already over played on the radio but that American Idol contestants were wearing it away once again. My best friend and I both agreed that the song was just overdone and I can remember the countless ways we would mimic the contestants and the song. Its ashame because I know this was really Alicia's big break and she is a multi-talented artist. I can't help but think every time I hear it that its still one of those songs that I am sick of, but brings me back to that apartment sitting on the floor with no furniture but a television. Talk about being a music lover right there. Or maybe I should say a television lover. Either way I guess it can be taken as (in the infamous words of simon cowell) " quite pathetic!"
