I want to be a rock starLOCATION: Camp, VermontYEAR: 1992TAGS: metalPUBLISHED: February 2, 2008This album was given to me by a girlfriend in highschool, and it was the first time I had really listened to anything even remotely heavy. It was the late nineties, yet these guys were just tragically rock stars - unable to break free from their 80's haircuts, hard rocking lifestyles and acid washed jeans.
And, they weren't even really that good... But I loved them. They planted in me a desire to be free, to be radical and to most importantly become a rock star. One problem - actually two - I couldn't sing or play an instrument. I still can't, but thanks Extreme for instilling in me the desire to try.
