Summer school woes!

         I was humiliated as I could be when I failed Algebra my sophomore year in high school.  I was an A and B student so how this happened was beyond my parents, teachers, and principal.  What happened was I had an algebra teacher who didn't like to teach or explain anything and really just didn't like the students.  It was like she was out to make things difficult so that we would fail.  I was miserable.  My principal saw what happened but told me just to be a good role model and go ahead with summer school.  The funny thing was I receieved an A- in the summer course.  Now everyone new something wasn't right, how could I go from an F to an A-?

Anyways I was stuck in these summer school walls of which weren't even my school.  It was another Christian school but also took in public school students.  Talk about culture shock.  I heard every swear word in the book which I was not used to.  I would flinch everytime.  Goody two shoes I know right? I didn't care what people think.  I was raised a christian and I am sticking to those beliefs and thats okay with me!

We were allowed to have walkmans while we were doing our class work since it was summer.  I brought quite a few CD's with me.  One that I happened to bring was by Cindy Morgan.  I loved every song on this album.  There were a few gothic girls cussing up a storm a few seats down from me. They saw my CD and asked if they could listen to it.  Without another word I passed it on to them.

They truly like the songs especially Picture Me In Paradise which is one of my favorite songs.  Cindy Morgan is a christian artist and this I did not tell them since they were listening to some pretty trashy rap music etc.

They asked who she was and I told them.  They said, "we had no idea that a christian singer could have such cool songs. I said yeah for sure and there is plenty more out there! It was neat planting a seed that day.
