Lindseycl | MEMORY FROM 1997 Ska days!LOCATION: Home, car, school , MichiganYEAR: 1997TAGS: CD, college, music, carPUBLISHED: April 5, 2008Ahhh remember those days when the musical style ska was in? Yeah it was definitely a frenzy when I started my freshman year in college. The O.C. Supertones were a big hit on the scene with their christian version of ska. When I heard the first song, "Supertones Strike Back" I was hooked. Everything about it got my attention to make me listen to the second song then the third, eventually I was hooked to the who album. This CD was all I listened to for the first year after getting the CD. I just couldn't get enough of their upbeat, motivating styles. I would listen to it in the car, at home, every chance I had was listening to the Supertones and nothing else. As I think back was I crazy, a little obsessed maybe? I guess so. Pretty hilarious to think about. After a while I overplayed the CD and never again wanted to hear a single song. Even two years later I found myself not wanting to hear them ever again. There is such a thing as overplaying to a point you just can not listen to it anymore. Well I certainly put myself in that position after playing and playing again this popular CD. I did get to see them in concert so that was neat and it made me appreciate them again. It is now fun to hear their music this present day and think back of those times where they were all I wanted to listen to.
