An American Tail was such a big hit as a child, it was one of those movies you could watch over and over again.  The song "Somewhere Out There" could be heard everywhere.

I remember in that particular scene in the movie where the two mice were singing this song to each other missing each other in hopes to reunite.  Everytime I would cry.  The song was just so emotional and I tear up to this day.

I ended up playing this song as a duet with my piano teacher in a piano competition.  There is something about the song that I just cannot get enough of yet it makes me so emotional.  It just really makes you believe what is being sung with all the strong feelings attached.

If you need to let out emotions and not know why, this song can definitely do it for you.  I hope to show this movie to my children just to see if they react to this song the same way as I did.  I may just be crazy and just an overly sensitive person but I feel strongly about this song.  The music/songwriter definitely showed strong talents through this beautiful song.
