My brother Joe!

When my brother was in the 7th grade he was totally into this band called MxPx.  They were a punk band.  This style of music was so in at the time.  I actually found it hyper and annoying.  At least he was listening to this type of music rather than all the junk out there with trashy lyrics.  My brother was learning the guitar at the time and found them to be interesting.

The one song that I actually really liked was their re-make of Take On Me.  It was pretty good.  My brother played this album often.  All of the other songs on the album were just a little too much for me but I have loosened up since then.

My brother now plays an amazing guitar and is writing music like crazy.  He is now 27 years old.  I have always been proud of my brother and how far he has gotten.  He was in a few bands throughout his high school years and recorded a few songs for fun.

For some reason when I hear or see the name MxPx I always think of my brother.  I guess it's because it was his favorite band there for a while.

Love ya Joe!
