When I was in 6th grade, I was beginning to discover that I did have a singing talent. I remember being 12 years old when I heard Debbie Gibson. She was a big time hit and I so wanted to dress like her and sing like her. She was such an amazing talent. She wrote her own music and played the piano. Not too many vocal artists write their own material. I believe only the real gifted and talented ones do. Electric Youth was my favorite song of hers. Now listening to it WOW how late 80's and how cheesy, but this was the style of music at the time. It was nice to see her be a judge a few years ago on the American Junior's reality show, created by American Idol. I had not seen or heard from her in so long. She had a few opportunities to showcase some of her new stuff and quite frankly, she still has it! Very talented!
