Mariah Carey was one of the first artists that captured my attention when I was old enough to understand music that was played on the radio. I remember admiring her voice and wanting to sound like her when I grew up. Sometimes in my room I would shut my door and turn on my radio and just flip through songs that would capture my interest. Any female voice was my first choice. I would lip sync in the mirror pretending it was me who was singing the songs. I remember when Make It Happen by Mariah Carey happened to be on the radio. I had never heard of her before since I was only in the 6th grade. Her strong and sensational voice captured my attention to the fullest. It was so unique I had never heard anyone sing like her before. The super high notes that she would hit amazed me I so wanted to sound like her. Her music was always on the radio so I always had a fun time pretending her voice was my voice. Mariah Carey is an amazing talent and will be in the days to come. She has influenced so many people with her wonderful voice. God has really blessed her with an awesome singing talent!
