I liked them, but where did they go?

         When the band name Church Of Rhythm is mentioned, it's probably guarenteed that not too many people know about them or even heard of them for that matter. 

I actually heard one of their songs by accident on a compilation CD of all the new and upcoming artists back in 1995.  I was actually 17 years old at the time.

The song Free was the one song I had heard and I actually really like it and thought it was pretty cool.  Because of the song I ventured out to purchase the full album.  I wasn't disappointed at all, all of the songs were pretty consistent as far as the "likeable" factor went.

I had hoped that they would have become a hit and then we would hear of a new albums in the making but it never happened for them and I do not know why. 

I still have the album and have no intention of getting rid of it simply because it's something different that is in my collection of music.  Maybe they may return to the surface yet again, we never know with this business.  Maybe they just had a really bad start and felt that they couldn't continue.

Either way I really like their styles and voices.  It's a shame that they didn't blossom as a group.  I look foward to keeping my eye out though.
