I remember when my sweet little girl watched the music video to I'm Gonna Catch You by Laurie Berkner. Her eyeballs were glued to the television for the whole song and for a one year old, this was unusual since toddlers have short attention spans. It was a music and movement type song so it of course involved the kids who were watching it. The video was aired on the cable channel Noggin. Because this is an early childhood based channel they use a lot of repitition since this is how children learn. This song was played every single day more than once. By the end of the first week our daughter knew all of the movements and would try to sing to it. As a toddler it was the cutest thing ever. Of course my husband and I had to get out the video camera to capture these adorable moments. Now that she is going on 5 years old she still loves singing the song. We actually just recently purchased the CD. She listens to it all the time. We told her that when she was little this was one of the first songs that she truly danced and sang to. She thinks it's so funny. We will have to get out the tape so that she can watch herself dancing to the same song she knows so well to this day. I think she will get a real big kick out of that!
