Again as an American Idol fan I am very attentive to all the musical styles. I even go as far as listening in detail to the songs that the show plays when a contestant gets voted off and then takes a look back to their journey from the beginning up until that point. I think the one of the best songs played along side Daughtry's song is Bad Day by Daniel Powter. The song was pretty popular for a while and could be heard anywhere. But the song reminds me too much of American Idol I think as well. When a song gets overplayed then you start remembering it as the "Idol" song.To some people this might not be a bad thing but I am sure the artist would like their song to be remembered as something more. This is the only song I think I have ever heard by Daniel Powter. He's not one of those one hit wonders is he? I didn't even know who the song was by until I actually had to look it up. The name doesn't even ring a bell. I am sure we will hear more of his music and hopefully he can make a bigger name for himself.
