Although the song may refer to TV and romance, not being a TV addict, music is where it is at with me. To turn me on, it is just as likely a man might turn to the switch on my hi-fi as that of my heart, there being little above music to get the latter going anyway. On one occasion, playing music was what did get things going.

I had just slipped into bed with a coffee, planning on resting and daydreaming over a musician partner whilst my toddler son took his nap, when there was a knock at the door. Quickly redressing as respectably as possible, abandoning the photographs if not the coffee, I went to see who had called. There stood before me a rather handsome yet unknown stranger. I forget the conversation, but they knew a neighbor or two and my attraction vibe was running high. I took them and the conversation into the dining room, letting my inquisitive son out from his room. There was no way he would nap with voices taking his attention from dreamland - yet eventually he found his toy box and pretending to type on my typewriter more amusing.

As the stranger refused a coffee and I finished mine, he had suggested sex, probably feeling my lust vibes. At this time, I was all for one musician only, and totally 'their property' in my head, so refused. However, neither the stranger nor I wished to hasten his departure, and he suggested I put on a favorite album. He moved into my study, and I turned on the stereo. Sure enough, the music had me turned on to romance and off from convention. It was not long before we were somewhat occupied on the single bed that stood in for a couch - in much the same way as I would have been daydreaming about my lover had I not had a visitor. It was an entire year before I found out the identity of the mystery visitor, who happened to be a friend of my overseas musician lover calling in on me in my possible loneliness. They also happened to be a musician themselves. Music was about all that turned me on in those days - maybe it still is.
