My son and I were visiting Chicago. We had just hurried ourselves away from the Children's Museum, dinosaur exhibition, and a mall, in order to fit in a visit to Sears Tower. It was snowing mildly, and my son loved the snow. I had seen quite enough of that cold wet stuff during my childhood in England, however. Being the last item on the agenda for that day, only eating and a return to the hotel were required activities to follow. I had planned our reverse trip via Rush Street, as I was at that time partially addicted to Richard Marx's music.

After photographs, models, movies, and many lifts, we finally arrived at the top of Sears Tower eager to see the city sights from up above. I was hoping to spot the baseball park, zoo, Lake Michigan, grant Park, and other features I assumed that we would be able to locate without too much difficulty. However, a blizzard had erupted just as we arrived at the top. We could see for about one block in any direction. A clouding of white speckles hiding the main view from us. We peered through the heavy snow as best we could, but other than a few lights and blocks that must have been buildings, we saw very little.

Disappointed, upon our descent I decided to stick adherently to my plan to find the famous Rush Street that had inspired Richard's album title. We battled through the blizzard, as it buffeted and bashed our facial skin senseless. Luckily, we both had thick boots and coats to keep most of us warm and safe from the onslaught. After popping into a burger store for refreshments to warm us up, we turned right and found the famed street. I have a very blurred by snow distortion image of the street sign as a physical souvenir. My internal souvenir being the beat of one of the songs from this album bringing my heart to recall our first steps upon the actual street whenever heard.

However, I shall have to 'Keep Coming Back' to Chicago until I do get to see that view!
