Even on my very first day, as I sat in the first assembly and waited for my name to be called out, I was somewhat apprehensive. My best friend's name got called, but alas, not mine. I was not going to be in the same class any more. When my name had failed to be called at all, leaving a group of three or four students with worried faces standing alone after everybody else had been allotted to their new class, I had hoped that maybe I was just forgotten, and in her class after all.
