Me as well

I did not hear the song until recently, but once heard it quickly became both appropriate to my life and a favored tune to play. I was yet again poking my nose into various San Francisco area bands and came across The Vanishing on my online exploration - sometimes referable to as networking, otherwise as snooping.

At the time I first played the song, I was working on proofreading and the alignment of a poetry text. I was in a rather pathetic mood, probably magnified by the environment of poetry. I was at a point where I was behaving somewhat in the mode of the title - lovesick. Three of my close friends having stepped away from me a little and my life subsequently resulting in an open-spaced neediness. I was moping about missing my men and their companionship, writing and reading much melancholic poetry, and generally behaving rather youthfully for my fourth decade of life. This song seemed to bounce my mood along a little and the title surely fit to perfection. Lovesick was what I was...
