When younger, I thought there would be someone perfect for me out in the world. I had no expectation of finding them locally or easily, but knew there would be a someone, somewhere, for me. I became impatient to find them during my late teens, searching, hoping, dreaming, wishing and praying for this mystery man to turn up - and hurry up! Aged 21, along came the first mistaken identity to claim title to perfect partner. Within two years, I was out of that disaster, and in a much more perfect relationship. This one was the one, wasn't it?

Looking back over the love era from 21 through 41, I seem to have looked everywhere for my Mr. Perfect, from English counties to Australian and American states. I have found some 'perfect - but' partners, but no one is 100% totally perfect. One man loved me but would not live with me. Another wanted to live with me but could not afford to bring me to his country. A third loved me but loved another woman also - I can finally begin to agree with the title of Fee's song. Yet still, maybe...
