One of my friends was going through a rough patch and had sent me a mix-CD, which he promised would explain his attitude and situation much clearer than if he tried to use his own words. The CD began and ended with snatches of a Green Day song. I did not know very much about it at the time, as it was listed in such a scribble that I could not read the title of the track, and the word Green Day read more like G'day or Oaay.
