goodbye to you

It was the summer of 2007 my older brother was leaving for his first year of college and I was both happy and sad at the same time, finaly I thought I get to be an only child but felt it would be so weird to not have him home for 9 months, there was no one left to blame things for hehe. But how had out time flown by so fast we have never really gotten along and I felt it was so weird to be saying goodbye to him without truly being able to say that I knew him and that I was someone that he liked. As we left him at his college the verses of the song ran through my head “Tears form behind my eyes
But I do not cry Counting the days that pass me by” He has been gone for a year and it hasn’t been too bad, I missed him for about a week but then it all seemed to be a normal thing. Whenever I hear the song Goodbye to You by Michelle Branch I always think of him they played it at his graduation and it really is a good song to relate to when a close family member moves away "Goodbye To You"
