Complete misunderstand ingLOCATION: Freeway , Chico, CAYEAR: 2004TAGS: Pearl Jam Chico Kyle SundgrenPUBLISHED: July 23, 2008There was this girl I was into. She had a boyfriend at the time, but that didn't stop me. I turned her onto Pearl Jam when we met and this song became her favorite. One day we were both in her car and I decided to put the Pearl Jam song "Rearviewmirror" on in hopes of influencing her. For those of you not in the know, that is a breakup song all about moving on. As soon as that song was over, she grabbed it iPod and put this song on. The chorus to this song goes "I don't wanna take what you can give, I would rather starve than eat your bread". I read way too much into her choosing this song. I thought she had chosen this song to send me a message, just as I had clearly chosen the previous song for that very reason. Turns out all along she just wanted to hear her favorite Pearl Jam song. From then on things fizzled out between us. It wasn't til months later that I found out the truth. I would like to think that it wasn't just Pearl Jam's fault! I read way too much into it!
