There are so many things I could say about this band that I'm not quite sure where to start. My father got me into these guys. He palyed them for when I was a freshman in High School. Just sort of put them on in the background and said nothing...which was unusual for him...which means he probably said something that I can't remember. The tape was in the car and we would drive all over the place...or at least all over my hometown. Not exactly the world just a niche that was my world at the time.

It was this song that struck me even back then. My father talked to me about lyrics constantly and told me about these. I was impressed how much someone could cram into 5 minutes and 51 seconds. I just recently played it for a friend and he pointed even more that I never heard before. The moment I heard this band I knew it was adult rock and roll. I still feel like it is the only grown up rock and roll band in the world. We are going to tell you stories. These will reflect your life. Oh yeah, one more thing, we're musical geniuses. Any questions? That to me is Steely Dan the band with no symbols no shirts and under rated beyond belief...go figure that one out...
