kudzi | MEMORY FROM 2008 What A Coincidence!!LOCATION: Bedroom , HarareYEAR: 2008TAGS: Chat, Elapsed, Talk-Show, Dreamiest, MobilePUBLISHED: April 2, 2008The strangest thing happened after I had come from talking to my boyfriend the other day. There I was in the lounge, watching the last segments of one of my favourite Talk Shows-Oprah Winfrey. Then my mobile rang. I picked it up immediately. I had every reason to be jovial when I heard Tim’s voice. Even though I had spoken to him a few hours ago, my petit dimples reappeared. As is typical of lovebirds, we get lost in conversation. Eventually all good things must come to an end and eventually our chat ended. By The time we finished speaking to each other, an hour had elapsed. The very last words he had said to me were, ‘Stand By Me’. Upon placing my phone on the charger, I grabbed the remote and flipped through the channels. There was nothing I wanted to watch so I tuned into the radio instead. After all I rarely watch tv as I am more of a music person. While lying over my bed and flipping through a magazine ‘True Love’ the dreamiest thing happend. Guess what was playing? John Lenon’s ‘Stand By Me’. For I moment I thought my ears had been illusioned but this is the very same song I had on one of my CD’s- there was no way I could have mistaken it. Apparently, the same thing happened to one of my siblings, she had been thinking of a song and upon switching on the radio heard it play. As they say there is safety in numbers. And just for the record almost three years later, I am still standing by him.
