Mine At Last! ! !

I had been crushing on this guy for close to two years during high school. He was everything; drob dead hansome, smart- a real boffin and to top it all he had the personality to go with it. I had never known such a refined gentleman throughout my life and quite frankly In my own naïve world, there could be no-one other than him.

For months on end I had been dying for him to notice me. I needed a sign; a smile, handshake- anything that would at least show  that there was a chance for a romantic love affair. Although, I would not describe myself as being cheap I did go out of my way to highlight some of my most appealing features.

‘Oh will he not notice my hazel eyes or rich lips engrossed in glittery balm’, I wondered. Eventually I gave up ours was a union that would never be I concluded. As of that point, I stopped having wild fantasies about losing myself in his arms or being able to smell the freshness of his breath. Surprisingly, a few days before our prom, I received a bouquet of roses from my long lost crush.

I could not believe that he wanted me to be his date  ‘Kiss from a rose’ is the very first sang I danced in the arms of my two year high school crush. I could not believe I was finally loose myself in his arms. Whenever I hear this song, I can not help but think, ‘damn we finally hit it
