Patriotism

This song, written, after the 9/11 incident is a clear, graphic scene of the aftermath of 9/11.  Although, I do not know, personally, anyone who lost their life, nor anyone who knew someone who lost their life in 9/11, we were all affected by this.  We all felt much pain and disbelief-how could this happen in the US of A?  How has this changed all our lives since?  All the security measures instilled.  The war has affected ALL of us, even those not directly involved.  We have men and women in our communities who were sent to Iraq-whether they came home, or not, or maybe still there.

Why does it take an incident of this magnitude for us to stop, look and listen?  Are we as Americans once again getting lax and feeling that false sense of security?  We received a threat from the man who caused this, that more blood would be shed in our country.  That man is still out there somewhere! 

We all need to stick together as a nation and watch out for each other!  Keep our patriotism intact-salute (stand up and recognize) the flag (Old Glory) as she flies!  Don't you just get goosebumps when you see a flag fly, or hear the National Anthem?  Let those responsible feel like the whole world is raining down on them-courtesy of the Red, White, and Blue.  How many have been injured or lost their lives over the years, so that we could sleep at night?  Those soldiers remain faithful to the Land of the Free! 

We all need to be "Angry Americans."  Uncle Sam put your name at the top of his list, the Statue of Liberty started shaking her fist, and the eagle still flies and Mother Freedom started ringing her bell.  Justice will be served and the battle will rage, a big dog fights when we rattle his cage.  You'll be sorry you messed with the US of A.  We'll put a boot in your ___-it's the American Way!
