A friend took me to see Kim Mitchell with Alannah Myles at an older theatre. I had never been that big of a fan of Alannah’s though I thought her music was decent enough. That night I got a glimpse of a true professional.

For some reason the sound system kept screwing up. But Myles didn’t seem to let it faze her. She kept her performance going and pleased the crowd. She got the audience ready for the headliner, Kim Mitchell and seemed to be having a great time doing it.

I have been around musicians most of my life and I have seen how spoiled some of these creative people can be. Alannah Myles garnered respect from me that night because she gave the impression of being so together and so able to handle the multitude of little things that can go wrong in a show.
