DramaLOCATION: High School , AlbuquerqueYEAR: 1994TAGS: Drama, sickPUBLISHED: February 29, 2008Â My best memories from high school are from my freshmen year. It was a time to start over, a brand-new school and new friends to be made. We were allowed to take two elective courses. I took choir, of course, and figured I would try my hand at Drama, hey I could lie what was the difference. Â As a freshmen you were unable to actually participate in the plays but we were encouraged to volunteer to work backstage. I decided that I wanted to try this. My first time was for the School Fashion Show, and I was going to be a dresser for one of the cutest boys in school. Now a dresser is the person who is standing backstage and when the person they are assigned to comes off the stage you are there ready to help them get dressed in their next costume. I worked after school for several weeks. It was so exciting getting to learn everything. As the days went by, I was assigned more and more to do. When I was not helping my person get ready for the next time, I had to help someone else. I was in charge of line up and set up for the different scenes. By the time of the show I had worked myself ragged. I was so run down. I had gotten sick. Â I was backstage with a raging headache and the worst cold I had ever had. All I wanted to do was lay down. When I heard that music starting I was like a different person. I managed to get through the whole night and not mess anything up. Â After the show all the people in the show and all the back stage people were going to go out. I didn't want to be left out so I went also. I was in the middle of eating a great loaded baked potato when I fell asleep. My head went right into the potato. This is the picture they chose to put in the year book.
