Springbreak 2008

Springbreak of my Senior year of college a group of 14 of my friends rented a beachouse in Galveston. This was about the time this song by Miley Cyrus was staring to get major airtime on the top 40 radio stations. Even though all the girls were twenty two years old, we all enjoyed this song aa a guilty pleasure.

During the day we would sit around the pool drinking, laying out, and reading. Trust me, it was a rough life. And of course the radio was always on. After a while the girls starteded to complain that they wern't playing the Miley song. We even talked about calling into the radio station to request it, but nobody was that motivated.

When it finally came on the radio all of the girls started screaming and dancing around the pool. The boys that were unfortunate enouh to be there I think were embarassed by us. And looking back on the memory, it might have been a silly moment and this song will not go down in history as the best song of 2008, but it will always make me smile.
