I cannot really recall the first time that I heard this song, but it had to be recent. This has to be the first song that while listening to it I had a deep hatred for it without even giving it a second chance but know that it will become part of who I am before the song was over. When I sat down and really listen to it and I mean truly listen to it, not only did I find myself in an emotional bond with this group but I fell deeply in love.

They sung the song in such a way that you were to believe that the artist sole reason to write this song was to hypnotize ever soul who listened to it. The song is not pleasant, it is sung in a strange manner and also at time I do believe that the artist cannot really sing.If you ever listen to the song you will understand were I am coming from.

The song Cassie is about the Columbine school shooting; the song talks about how this girl name Cassie was given the chose to live or die through a question. A deep and debatable question; Do you believe in God?

Around the time that I heard this song though I had studied school shooting and just knowing that there was a whole entire song about one school shooting excited me. I was excited but I was more blinded with denial, I did not want to have to realize that there are people who want to hurt you no matter what the cost was. The song made me depressed and showed me that not everyone was born nice. It helped me to understand more of how people in our daily life will hate a person only because of their skin color and beliefs without trying to know someone.

No one is born nice, when you think about, we are all birthed with equal malice and joy, it's more of a side thing, you're either good, bad, or your own thing. It's just easier. (3/18/2008)
