Janine B | MEMORY FROM 1992

Phil Collins is in my loo

LOCATION: Home , Chichester

YEAR: 1992

TAGS: Loo, birthday, crack, photograph

PUBLISHED: March 15, 2008

I like this album, all of it. It is raining at the moment so 'I Wish It Would Rain Down' seems an appropriate choice of track. I am not sure if I bought the cd for myself, it was probably a present. The cd reminds me of the day Phil Collins arrived.

He came one birthday and has been in residence ever since. So what has this to do with the loo/toilet/cloakroom I hear you asking yourself. OK, this is a bit of poetic license but it may get you interested in my Jamsbio, so is not a bad thing.

So let the truth be told, much less exciting than the memory title, but that is the way life is. Phil Collins is in my downstairs cloakroom that bit is true. Not in person of course but a photograph. Not just any old photograph but a signed photograph which he sent me for my birthday. He didn't always reside in the loo. For many years he lived on the sideboard. Then I moved and you know how it is, you notice a crack in the plaster and look for something of a suitable size to hide it. Yes, you guessed, the photograph of Phil Collins was just the right size. So he has stayed there, cleverly hiding the crack on the wall. Our Phil has his uses!

One of these days I will repair the crack and move the photo to somewhere more suitable. I think that every time I play this album but ..... the cd is in the car and ..... However the downstairs cloakroom is the next area to be refurbished, so don't worry Phil Collins fans, he will soon have a new, more appropriate home. Then, what will I have as a talking point?
