My Love Song

This song is very important to me. Firstly, I think it was one of the best songs they covered in the film. And secondly, and more importantly, it's exactly the song I like singing to my girlfriend. We've been together for about a year and two months now (roughly) and everytime I song this song whether on my own, in the shower, with a guitar, when I'm with her, when I'm not, I always think of her.

Certain moments in particular are when she wasn't in the best of moods once. One of her friends had been a backstabber and was making things up about her and she was in a bad state. So I txted her the first few lines. Next day she saw me she said it really made her day and that itmade her so much happier. Another time on my 18th birthday. We had a few shot that night so, truth be told, we were both very drunk. So we went to a little bit where no one was at 1 in the morning. I was trying to recreate the scene in the movie when Jude sings that song to his girl but I don't think it really had the same effect. And another time was in the pub. I just whispered it into her ear, and she smiled at me because she knew, just like my 18th, I was quite drunk and when I'm drunk I speak my mind a hell of alot more than what I usually do. So I like to think that she liked that because I made it obvious that she meant alot to me.

But at the end of the day it didn't matter if I had been drinking or not. Because it's a love song, and what's the point of there being Love songs in the world when you can't sing it to the person you love? And it just so happens that it's one of my favourites to.
