Moment I remember about NKOTB back in 91

It was my 11th birthday...(the last birthday I had before my parents got a divorce)...they handed me a card for my birthday and as I opened it, something fell into my lap....I picked up the couple items which I realized where tickets and started crying...they were for New Kids on the Block playing at the New Haven Coliseum in another month....there were 4 tickets and even though we sat way up in the nose bleeds and had to use binoculars to even see...it was the best birthday present I had ever gotten. Both my parents went with me and I got to take my best friend. That concert was a memory for me of my parents being together and also sharing an exciting moment with my lifelong best friend of now, 24yrs!!!!

I was not one of those fans that cried at the shows or anything...but I was definitely one to sing along and dance and just have a great time. Last night, my best friend and I saw New Kids at Mohegan Sun in CT. At first we did not get tickets. I went on the internet right at 10am..(actually 15mins before) just to make sure I would get the best seats possible...when I went on, they literally were all sold out...I could not believe it. A couple weeks later, my mom calls me from the casino and said, hey, the lady at the desk said there are two seats that opened up for New Kids...YES, I WANT THEM!!!! So luckily we were able to go last night and of course, I again brought my best friend and there was nothing better than feeling those childish, free, exciting, feelings all over again. Not many concerts have people standing and dancing and singing throughout the whole thing...but for those 2hrs, not one person around me was sitting down...there was screaming, smiles, singing, dancing...it was the best! All of us 10-15yr old girls were all grown up now..all coming together to enjoy what to us 17yrs ago, was the best band ever!! We all had it, the pillow cases, the bed sheets, the pins, shirts, ripped jeans...VHS of the Hanging Tough...we were so loyal.....then they grew up and so did we....so to relive this again, its just magical!!! Thanks to the New Kids on the Block for putting aside their new adult lives to go back on tour, make new totally HIP and FABULOUS music (Gotta love Summertime and SINGLE)....and bring back to us the sparks that lay forever in our hearts for these 5 amazing guys who just really know how to put on a show!!!!

So CHEERS to NKOTB...and if I ever get to meet them, DRINKS are totally on me....and just again many thanks for them coming back after so long and performing like they did over 15yrs ago!!!
