Even before MTv!LOCATION: My house , Eugene, OregonYEAR: 1977TAGS: dancing, MtvPUBLISHED: February 18, 2008During the long summer days as a kid I didn't have much to do when my Mom worked. Tormenting my little sister soon became boring with little pay off as fun once Mom heard about it. And bothering my older brother couldn't happen because he was usually at his friends house. One such day I grabbed this album and decided I was going to learn all the words to it. (This was before the words were printed on the inside sleeve of the album.) I grabbed my pen and paper and dillegently began listening. Thankfully the amount of time just THIS part of what I was doing took days. Once I was finished with the first side I set out to entertain myself. I started thinking about the song SOS. I thought "what images would make a good visual for this song?" "If I were in a talent show performing the lip synch'ing for this song, what would make a good story.?" First, I came up with the idea while looking at my dolls Raggedy Ann and Andy. I envisioned two people dressed up as these dolls, a man and a woman singing these lyrics to one another. I was so inspired I grabbed my little sister and made her do the Raddedy Ann part as I did peformed the Andy part.    I was able to piece a story together for the entirity of the 3 minuted and 33 second song.   I felt I truly accomplished such a feat for being so young.  Imagine my surprise when MTV began less than 4 years later!
