Pan-Africanis m LectureLOCATION: University of Illinois , IllinoisYEAR: 2008TAGS: college, concertPUBLISHED: July 12, 2008When this song first came out, I was not an immediate fan like most of my friends. Although I purchased the CD and was certainly on Kanye's side of the 50 Cent vs. Kanye release battle, it took many plays and throbbing bass at clubs for me to actually like this song. I really grew to appreciate this song after hearing my Pan-Afrianism professor reference this song when speaking about a magazine that featured Kate Moss with her skin painted black, the professor quoted this song, fully explaining the line, "You can be my black Kate Moss tonight." I saw Kanye perform this song live at his Glow in the Dark Tour, and I went from liking this song to LOVING this song, Kanye's live energy is priceless.
