It's hard to realize this, it's hard to stop when you're already doing it: pushing everyone away because it hurts to be too close. I am like this whenever I'm in a relationship. During a particular relationship, this song hit my ears and I was hooked. I was avoiding my feelings and trying to look for ways to leave -- for no particular reason other than I hated being vulnerable. "A warning sign / It's a horrible habit and this song just makes you feel worse, yet provides a strange catharsis. An anthem for avoiders, if you will. This song doesn't have any healing powers that have made me better at being in relationships, but.. it's a damn fine song to listen to when you're wishing you weren't this way.. and if you're missing someone because of it.
