I've been a fan of Michaelfor quite some time but didn't become a true fan until I saw "Thriller". What I can recall from my first memory ofthis was nothing short of awe-inspiring. I wouldn't say it was the song so much as the video for this particular track, I saw it for the first time in 2001 when they were airing a special on Michael Jackson. Zombies, Michael, and Ola oh my!! The way the music thumped and pounded into my ears made me want to get up and dance. Watching the living dead Michael dance in sync marching back and forth to the deadly beat was and still is a thriller. I tried over and over to learn the choreography but never could, spending hours trying to figure out just how he did it. It's hard trying to move as slick as the king of pop!!

The funky beats and the electrifying dance moves hooked me immediately to anything and everything Michael. Michael's voice had the maturity and fluidity that was apparent in every track he did.The way he moved was and is something that is legendary. He has electrified even the most talented dancers out there. Including the legend Fred Astaire, who Michael had looked up to and studied throughout his life. This albums great success and innovative music video inspired an entire generation of singers and dancers. Including Justin Timberlake, Britney Spears, his sister Janet and many more.

I remember listening and wondering if anyone could ever top something as great as this. In my opinion no one can top Michael who had truly created something magical. Thriller will forever be a testament to that. Many years have gone by since the release of this record and Michael still stands the test of time. With his silky smooth vocals and jaw dropping dance moves he has kept me hooked to this day. This song and album was nothing short of miraculous then and still is 25 years later.

A true fan,

Dane Erik
