Yo Yo Yo! Wassup?

In that summer between seventh and eigth grade, I had the second of my five phases as a teenager. The year prior to this was the first phase where I did everything I could to fit in with the cool people, where I was way concerned with what Samantha and Natalie and Katie were doing and how I could best please them in order to win their friendship, but then We moved away from that school, and I started a new phase because I had nobody to please. So I decided I'd be as different as I could be and I decided to be the first white female rap star. YEAH. THAT's a good idea.

Out with the knock-off bell-bottomed pants and in with the baggy shorts and sweatshirts. I'f it weren't for those crazy lumps on my chest I would have fit in with the boys! But as it was, I was moderately happy to be me. Of course, my childhood is filled to the brim with darkness and doubt and disappointment, but I sang at this time as much as I could to release that. I felt cool. Even though I was living in a hotel room with my family in Lake Geneva.

This was my favorite song at that time. I didn't care that it was first done by Michael Jackson. It was just a cool song. Still is, actually. I remember sitting in the hotel room with my brother and watching the music video on tv. This song and "Chop Suey" by System of a Down were huge at the time. For some reason I'm having an issue thinking up some more that were big then, but I'm sure you could look it up if you REALLY wanted to know.
