Social Studies

I have a few memories of sitting in different classes and doing homework while a teacher played whatever music they were interested in at the time. Most of these are from art classes, since it doesn't take so much to concentrate in there, but some of them were in normal classes, like seventh grade Social Studies. I had a teacher then that I didn't particularly like, but had had her already the year before. I thought she was a little too serious and crabby for my taste, but by the end of seventh grade, as happened with most of my teachers, I started to understand her, and even appreciate the help she had given me while I was in her care, as well as when I wasn't.

But in this class, my teacher's musical indulgence was Jewel, and this album in particular. I went down the line of songs of this album here on Jamsbio, and I recalled every song on there, and different assignments that we worked on while it played. I recall trash talking the teacher with my one of my best friends in notes. And some really annoying guys that were in my class who wouldn't shut up and got everyone in trouble all the time. Then I remember where I really shined in that class. Jeopardy. Our own trivia game unrelated to the subject we were learning. Since I rock at trivia, I was the one who got picked first on the teams for once (never, ever in gym class). And it felt good!
